At 6.30 .... Santiago... EL COLORADO It was a great and fun day out! It was hard to get things done: get a transport ticket, rent equipment, and the ski pass. Dealing with Chileans it is a challenge: rip off, no responses, or late reply...and also people who confirmed that were coming but changed their mind without any notice...This is what you have to deal with here in Chile. I managed to get discounted ski passes and good prices for the equipment, and transport. It cost 50€ for the day! I had been offered a 200€ day! Henry from Cuba: first day of skiing! Marco from Venezuela: a good snowboarder We were all three very tired for different reasons but we enjoyed the ride! I had a cold, Henry went out the day before, and Marco was just tired. The snow was not optimal but I had the same sensations as before. Although ten years when I skied for the last time, I did not really enjoy it. This time, it was awesome as if I was back to France... We trained Henry for an hour and then we went up the mountain! At the end, Henry got injured, shoulders problems, nothing serious... just pain. Marco was even more tired! The cold turned into a bad flue and I lost my hat :( WE ENJOYED IT, that what counted. The Andes , a very different landscape from the Alps. The Andes are much higher than the Alps. However the slops are no steep as they are in the Alps. Start skying at a 2800 m altitude to reach the peak: 4000m. We went all the way up and went down. It was easy and it was as if riding a bike! Once you learn it, you don´t loose it! A great experience!
